PrivateStay is available in five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
Switch the interface language
Use the language selector in the top navigation bar to switch the platform interface to your preferred language. Your choice is saved in a cookie and will persist across visits on the same device.
When you are logged in, your language preference is also saved to your account. This means:
- The platform will use your preferred language when you sign in on any device
- Notification emails will be sent to you in your preferred language
Property listing languages
Property listing content (the description, amenities, policies, etc.) is separate from the platform interface language. Hosts can publish their listing in up to five languages. When you visit a listing, you can switch the listing language independently of the platform interface language — look for the language selector on the property page.
If a listing has not been translated into your preferred language, it will display in the host's original language.
Notification emails
All notification emails (booking confirmations, messages, follow requests, etc.) are sent in the recipient's preferred language. If you have set English as your preference, you will receive English emails even if the sender's listing is in another language.
To update your language preference, go to Dashboard → Account → Profile and select your preferred language from the dropdown.
