Analytics

See who's visiting your listing, where they're coming from, and how interest is turning into bookings.

PrivateStay tracks how your listing is performing over time. Go to Dashboard → Analytics to see your numbers.

Choosing a time period

At the top of the page, pick how far back you want to look: the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or a full year. Pro users can also set any custom date range they like.

What you can see on the free plan

You get four core numbers to work with.

Page views tells you how many times your listing page has been opened in the period you selected. Every visit counts as one — so if the same person comes back twice, that's two views.

Unique visitors gives you a better sense of how many different people are actually finding you, rather than counting repeat visits from the same person.

Access requests shows how many people clicked to request access to your property during that period — a good indicator that the listing is generating real interest.

The week-over-week indicator at the top shows whether your page views this week are up or down compared to the week before — a quick pulse check on momentum.

What Pro adds

Pro unlocks several deeper insights that help you understand not just that people are visiting, but who they are and what they're doing.

Who's visiting

You can see the names and profile photos of logged-in followers who have visited your page, along with when they last stopped by and how many times. This works for visitors who have a PrivateStay account and are signed in. Visitors who aren't logged in are still counted in your totals, but they appear without a name.

Your most interested visitors

This shows your visitors ranked by how many times they've come back. Someone who has visited five times is far more likely to book than someone who dropped by once — these are the people worth reaching out to directly.

New vs returning

A simple split between visitors who have been to your page before and those who are seeing it for the first time.

How visits are turning into bookings

This shows your full picture in three steps: how many people visited, how many of those asked for access, and how many went on to book. Seeing all three together helps you spot where things might be dropping off — and whether you need more visitors, a more compelling listing, or better follow-up.

When people are most active

A simple grid showing which days of the week and times of day tend to get the most visits. If there's a clear pattern — say, Sunday evenings — that's the best moment to share your link in a message or group.

Where visitors are coming from

Shows which websites or apps are sending people your way. If someone clicks your link from a WhatsApp message or a blog post, it shows here. Visitors who come directly — by typing your URL or clicking a saved bookmark — don't show a source, which is completely normal and accounts for most traffic on most listings.

Note

Analytics start recording from the moment you publish your listing. Older visits before you joined PrivateStay are not included.

Upgrade to Pro

Visitor names, the booking conversion view, the activity grid, and traffic sources are all Pro features. If you're on the Free plan, upgrade in Dashboard → Subscription to unlock them.
