Managing access requests

How to review, approve, and block guests who request access to your listing.

When a guest visits your listing and requests access, you receive an email notification and the request appears in your Dashboard → Followers page. From here you can review every request and decide who gets in.

The follow request

When a guest requests access, they are asked to write a connection note — a short message (up to 400 characters) explaining how they know you or why they are interested in your property. This is their introduction.

You will see:

  • The guest's name and email
  • Their connection note
  • The date of the request

Approving a request

Click Approve to grant the guest access to your listing. Once approved:

  • The guest can see your full listing content (photos, description, pricing, policies)
  • The guest can submit a booking request
  • The guest can send you direct messages

The guest receives an email confirming they have been approved.

Blocking a request

Click Block if you do not want to grant access. A blocked guest:

  • Cannot resubmit a request
  • Cannot see your listing content (they continue to see the access gate)
  • Is not notified of the reason

Tip

You do not need to decline or respond immediately. Requests can remain pending as long as needed. Guests are not notified of a pending state — they simply wait.

Approval mode

When you created your property, you chose an approval mode:

  • Manual — Every request lands in your followers page for your review. Nothing is approved automatically.
  • Auto — Requests are approved instantly when submitted. Guests skip the waiting period entirely.

You can change your approval mode at any time from Dashboard → Settings.

Revoking access

You can remove an approved follower at any time from Dashboard → Followers by clicking Block. This immediately revokes their access to your listing and prevents them from submitting new booking requests. Any existing booking requests from them are unaffected.

Broadcast to followers

Once you have approved followers, you can send them all a message at once using the Broadcast feature (Pro plan). See Broadcast messages for details.
