For Hosts

Building your listing

A complete walkthrough of every section in the Content Editor.

The Content Editor is where you build everything guests will see when they visit your listing. It is a single page with multiple independent sections — fill them in any order, save each section as you go.

All content is stored per language. If you publish in multiple languages, you will fill in (or translate) each section for each language separately.

Hero

The first thing guests see. Set:

  • Cover image — the main photo shown at the top of your listing. Choose your best shot.
  • Headline — a short, evocative name or phrase (e.g. "A sun-drenched farmhouse in the Luberon")
  • Subheadline — one sentence that captures the feeling of the place

About

A longer description of your property. Tell the story of the place — its character, history, what makes it special. Guests read this to decide whether it is right for them.

Summary

A short tagline or overview. Shown in listings previews and search results within the platform.

Gallery

Your photo gallery. You can label each photo by area — living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, terrace, garden, pool, dining, exterior, or other — which helps guests browse what matters to them rather than scrolling through an unlabelled pile.

On the Free plan you can upload up to 20 photos. Pro removes that limit entirely.

Images are compressed automatically on upload. Upload the highest-quality originals you have.

Sleeping

Set the sleeping configuration:

  • Bed type — describe the bed setup (e.g. "1 king bed, 2 twin beds")
  • Maximum guests — the maximum number of guests the property accommodates
  • Bedroom photos — photos of the sleeping areas, with optional area labels

Amenities

Select available amenities from the pre-defined list. Guests use this to quickly check whether the property meets their needs (Wi-Fi, parking, pool, washing machine, etc.).

Map

Set an approximate display location for the map shown on your listing page. This is not your exact address — it is a general area indicator. Set it close enough to be useful without revealing your precise location.

Your exact address is stored separately in Private address (see below) and is never shown to guests.

Host

Your host card — pulled from your account profile. Shows your name, photo, and bio. Update these in Dashboard → Account → Profile.

Pricing

Set one or more pricing tiers. Each tier has a label (for example "Low season" or "Peak summer"), a minimum stay length, an optional maximum stay length, and a price per night in your chosen currency (GBP, USD, or EUR).

On the Free plan you get one pricing tier. Pro removes that limit entirely — useful if you charge differently across seasons or stay lengths.

Note

Pricing is informational — PrivateStay does not process payments. Your guests will pay you directly by bank transfer. The pricing shown helps guests understand your rates before requesting a booking.

Policies

Set your terms for guests:

  • Cancellation policy — your cancellation terms (full text + summary)
  • House rules — what guests should know about behaviour, noise, pets, smoking, etc.
  • Security information — any relevant safety or security notes

FAQ

Add frequently asked questions in a question-and-answer format. Good topics: nearest airport, parking, check-in process, pets, Wi-Fi password policy.

Private address

Your exact property address. This is for your internal reference only and is never shown on the listing page or to guests. Use it to keep your records organised.

Tip

The exact address is sent to guests in their booking confirmation email after you approve their booking request — so they have it when they need it.
