With a Pro plan, you can connect a web address you own to your PrivateStay listing. Instead of sharing privatestay.club/p/your-villa, guests can visit your own address — something like villa.yourdomain.com or yourvilla.com — directly.
What you need
- A Pro plan subscription
- A web address (domain) that you own
- The ability to log in to wherever you manage that domain
Setting it up
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Custom domain
- Type in the address you want to use (for example,
stays.yourdomain.com) - PrivateStay will give you a short piece of text to add to your domain settings
- Log in to wherever you manage your domain — this is usually the company you bought it from (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or similar)
- Find the domain settings section and add the record PrivateStay provided
- Come back and click Verify — PrivateStay will check it's in place
Once verified, your address is live. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours — it just depends on your domain provider.
Note
If you've never changed domain settings before, your domain provider's support team can usually walk you through it in a few minutes. You're welcome to contact PrivateStay support too and we'll help you.
After it's connected
Once your address is verified, guests who visit it will see your PrivateStay listing. Your original privatestay.club/p/your-slug address keeps working too — both point to the same listing.
Removing your custom address
You can disconnect your custom address at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Custom domain. After removing it, that address will no longer show your listing. Remember to also log in to your domain provider and remove the setting you added during setup.
